The best Everest base camp trek route for the purist
Most of our treks to Everest base camp start with a flight to Lukla- but of course the real pioneers in opening up the Himalaya did not have the benefit of this flight and walked in to Everest base camp all the way from Jiri. This route is called the Pioneers route and is truly an incredible journey.
And for the best views of Everest
If you want the best views of Everest then it is best to go a little further away and climb Mera Peak. Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and with the advantage of distance you can see all of the main 800m plus peak from Lhotse, past Everest to Cho Oyu. Simply unforgettable.
Choose the best route for your Everest trek
And remember Nepal has many more fantastic treks and climbs outside of the Everest region. Manaslu in the summer monsoon is a great destination and all year round the Annapurna region offers excellent trekking.
